A solemn opening ceremony of the IV International Tourist Fair “Tourism and Travel – BITF- 2009” and the II International Festival of Craftsmanship took place at the historical museum in Bishkek. Kyrgyz Secretary of State Dosbol Nur uulu participated in opening ceremony and delivered speech. According to him, tourism is a priority branch of economy. It included in the list of the republic’s priority branches such as energy, agriculture, transport, construction and others.
        The fair is organized in order to promote further development and improvement of the country’s tourism industry.
        The festival of craftsmanship of Kyrgyzstan will also take place during the fair.
The fair will take place between May 15 and 19 in Bishkek, Osh and Issykkul.
